Autumn Council meeting
A few ladies from Purton Evening WI had a very good day out at Salisbury on the 17th October at the Autumn Council Meeting.
We had several good speakers, including Matthew Collins a travel writer, who gave us a hilarious talk on amongst other
things; budget travel and borrowed grannies.
Also a speaker from the Wiltshire Great Bustard society, gave us a really interesting talk.
Our highlight in the afternoon was the collecting of 4 awards !
Purton Evening not only collected the trophy for both the skittles and Whist this year, but also Sylvie Kimber collected a new award, called the Maureen Holder cup for the most points in the skittles.
As we received the most points this year, we also collected the Victor Ludorum Shield.
This was a special day for Purton Evening WI.
